How to connect my iPod / computer to loudspeakers?

I like to listen to my iPod Touch. But I don't have any speakers when extended periods with headphones annoy me. I recently bought a set of loudspeakers: the Element EBS1 2-Way Bookshelf Loudspeaker from Black Friday Sales at Circuit City. It doesn't have a cord, jack, or a power source for that matter. How to I get the speakers to play my iPod/ computer music? They said I should buy an 18 gauge speaker wire, but from the looks of the cord, it wasn't made for mp3s. 10 points for best answer!
Here are the specs:
• 2 loudspeakers
• Bland wood grain vinyl
• Tweeter: 2” titanium dome
• Impedance: (nominal) 4-8 ohms
• Frequency Response: 75 Hz – 20 kHz
• Sensitivity: 87 dB
• Power Handling (RMS): 80 watts
• Power Handling (IPP): 160 watts
• Shielding: No
On the back of each of the two speakers is a negative and positive imput

You need to plug the speakers into a amplifier/receiver to use them.
They are not made to be used alone like computer speakers which come with a power supply and built-in amplifier.

Thanks for looking at our Element Power Jack information.
