Uses and Benefits of Low Voltage Lighting
Low voltage lighting is enjoying a surge in popularity. The reasons for this are several. First, it usually utilizes less power and, therefore, saves on energy and operating expense. Second, low voltage lights provide a better choice in certain situations, both inside and outside the home. Third, low voltage fixtures are easily installed by avid do-it-yourselfers.
Less Energy Consumption and Operating Expense
Low voltage systems operate on 12 volts in comparison to the normal 120 volt usage of standard lighting systems. This can make low voltage systems more cost effective and safe alternatives to use in and around the home.
Not only do these systems usually cost less to operate, but low voltage fixtures and bulbs are also often cheaper to buy than high voltage units. The consumer benefits from all around savings by integrating low voltage systems into their home environment.
Where to Use Low Voltage Lighting
