Hi! Need help from camera experts?
I just bought a camera phone and I have totally no experience in using a camera. Could anyone explain to me in a simplified way what is: "Exposure metering (Center-weighted) (Spot) (Matrix)
"White Balance(Automatic) (Incandescent) (Fluorescent) (Cloudy) (Sunset) (Daylight) and "ISO (Automatic) (100) (200) (300) (400)"
Also why do you need to turn on "auto focus" when taking pictures. And what is the reasons behind the sizes of the pictures? Any suitable recommanding example:1600x1200, 800x600...?
Exposure metering is basically a meter that tells you how bright the picture is. center weighted would take the reading from the middle, spot would take it from around the middle and matrrix would take it from the whole picture in general.
white balance basically is the colors of the picture. depending on what lighting you are in would say what setting you would use, so if your ouside in the sun you would use the "daylight" setting.( now the best way to do this is to white balance the light instead of the camera so that you are not loosing any quality, but on a camera phone its really not that important.)
ISO is sensitivity to light so the higher the number the "brighter" your picture will be. however at the cost of grainyness. the higher the iso usually means there will be a lot more noise in the picture(grainyness)
the size of the photo is how big it actualy is, so say you have a 2400x1600 photo you could blow up to about a 13-19IN printout. now are you gonna do this with your phone, prob not.
