A satin black beast sometimes mistaken for cobalt
Roams the vast distances of smooth and cracked asphalt
Her tires leave tracks like the paws of a panther
And just like that feline, doesn’t always travel together
Shimmering and sleek beneath the orb of the night
Often drawing attention like mosquitoes to light
Her beauty intensified as she winks with each turn
Her wheels make no squeals and her rubber leaves no burn
Unless of course her master treats her badly
She may make the decision to stall or overheat quite gladly
Resting stilly as the wind violently blows
She’s like the bronco of the back roads
Her luxurious interior when new is superb
She’s like the stallion of the suburbs
Now not quite a mustang, nor a mighty bald eagle
Her species is sedan and her name is Buick Regal
